Emergency call-outs
Same day response for anything unsafe: a tripped main that will not reset, exposed wiring, or a burning smell from a switchboard.
Most electrical problems can wait for a booked appointment. Some cannot. A safety switch that will not reset, a switchboard that smells hot, or wiring that has been exposed by storm damage or a falling branch gets moved to the front of the day. We isolate what needs isolating over the phone if it is safe to talk you through it, then get someone on site as fast as the job allows.
What is included
- Phone triage to isolate anything unsafe before we arrive, where it is safe to do over the phone
- Same day attendance for genuine safety issues, most weeks
- The fault traced and made safe on the first visit wherever possible
- A clear next step if full repair needs parts or a return visit
- The call-out fee is the only fixed cost; work after that is quoted before we start
$150 to $320
$150 covers a weekday call-out, $220 evenings, $320 weekends and public holidays, each covering the first thirty minutes on site; work after that is billed at our standard hourly rate

02How it runs
5 steps, in this order
Typical visit: response inside the call-out window; most faults are made safe on the first visit. You are told which step we are on, without having to ask.
- 01 Call and describe what is happening; we will tell you if it is safe to wait
- 02 Isolate anything unsafe over the phone if that is possible
- 03 Attend on site and make the fault safe
- 04 Quote any further repair before proceeding
- 05 Follow up with a written summary and a compliance certificate if one is needed
03Asked often
Before you book
If your question is not here, it is probably on the FAQ page, and if it is not there either, ring and ask.
What counts as an emergency?
Exposed wiring, a burning smell from a switchboard, a safety switch that will not reset and leaves you without power, or storm damage that has brought a line down. A dead power point that has been dead for a week can usually wait for a normal booking.
How fast can you actually get there?
Same day for genuine safety issues in most of our service area, most weeks. Severe weather events are the exception, when every crew in the corridor is already out and we will tell you honestly where you sit in the queue.
What does an emergency call-out cost?
$150 on a weekday, $220 in the evening, $320 on a weekend or public holiday, covering the first thirty minutes on site. Anything beyond that is quoted before we keep going, not added to the bill afterwards.

Book this service
Most non-urgent bookings are scheduled inside three to five business days. Tell us what is happening and we will confirm a time, or call now if it genuinely cannot wait.
Good to have ready
- Access to the switchboard, or know where it is if we have not been before
- A rough idea of when the problem started and what you were doing at the time
- Anyone else in the house told, if we need to isolate power for part of a visit
- Photos of the fitting, outlet or damage, if you can get them safely from a distance

The phone forwards to whoever is on call after hours. Anything involving exposed wiring, a burning smell or a tripped main is moved to the front of the queue; everything else gets a call back from 6:30am the next working day.
Thanks, that is everything we need
Demonstration only. Nothing was sent and nothing was stored. On a live site this would reach hello@bremerline.com.au and a booking would be confirmed by phone.
