EV charger installs
A dedicated circuit and a wall-mounted charger, sized to your switchboard and your car, not a generic install off the shelf.
An EV charger is only as good as the circuit behind it. We check the switchboard's spare capacity first, because a lot of the corridor's newer homes are already close to their limit with ducted air conditioning and pool pumps on the same board. Where there is room, we run a dedicated circuit and mount the charger. Where there is not, we quote the switchboard upgrade needed to make room, rather than install a charger that trips under a full household load.

- 02 Quote the dedicated circuit and any switchboard work it needs
- 03 Install the circuit and mount the charger
- 04 Test under load and confirm the charger communicates correctly with the car

Will my switchboard handle a home EV charger?
Sometimes, but plenty of boards in this corridor are already close to capacity with ducted air conditioning and a pool pump on the same supply. We check spare capacity before we quote, not after we have run the cable.
Should I get the charger that came with the car or a wall unit?
A dedicated wall charger is faster and safer for daily use than an occasional trickle charger run off a standard outlet. We can install either, but we will tell you honestly if the standard outlet is not up to the daily load.
Can you install a charger for a unit or townhouse?
Yes, provided body corporate approval is in place and there is a way to attribute the power draw to your lot. We can talk you through what a committee usually wants to see before you apply.

The phone forwards to whoever is on call after hours. Anything involving exposed wiring, a burning smell or a tripped main is moved to the front of the queue; everything else gets a call back from 6:30am the next working day.
